Paul Wilbur is known literally
around the world for his Messianic
music. In demand for conferences
and concerts all year
long, he has traveled to over 60
nations, and has sold over three
million cassettes, CDs, and DVDs
with Integrity Music. You would
think that Paul considers himself
a recording artist. He doesn’t. Paul
sees himself as a worship leader.
Whether putting out a new album
or spearheading a conference in
Israel, this is the role he believes
that God has given him.
In 2007, the compilation album
Praise Adonai was released. "It was
designed for the 40th anniversary
of the reunification of Jerusalem
as the undivided capital of Israel,"
Paul said. "We carefully selected
some previous live recordings
performed in the City of David
over the past decade, from the
albums Shalom Jerusalem, Arise O
Lord, and Lion of Judah, and wove
them with Scripture and prayer
to help people join in celebration
and worship."
The cover art for Praise Adonai
is the famous photograph of three
IDF soldiers at the capture of
Jerusalem’s Western Wall during
the Six Day War, "Paratroopers
Liberating the Western Wall."
It was a prophetic moment
come true—Jerusalem back in
the hands of the Jewish people.
These days, Jew and Gentile alike
are coming together in worship
and praise to God and passion
for Israel. Paul said, "The album
has been well received by passionate
believers who understand the
importance of Israel, love the
Jewish people and see their destiny
intertwined." Paul quotes Romans
11:26. He continues, "Projects like
these are created to give vision,
worship and fuel to the fire to those
who link world redemption with
the salvation of Israel and the return
of Yeshua."
Just as the Praise Adonai album
is momentous and prophetic, so
is Paul’s upcoming trip to Israel
and the forthcoming album.
During prayer one day at Wilbur
Ministries, Paul received a word
from the Lord to "gather a grateful
remnant out of the nations and
invite worship leaders who represent
them, and bring them to
Jerusalem to prophecy over the
Land, the people, and their future
destiny." When asked what his first
thought was when God told him
this, he says, "I started to jump up
and down. It was a mandate, and
I quickly wrote it down. Fulfilling
this goal is the purpose for my life
and season."
Following much prayer, Paul
has gathered a group of excellent
musicians, singers, songwriters,
pastors and leaders to come
together, offering a ten-day
prophetic tour of Israel, featuring
anointed worship, teaching, and a
live CD recording of new music to
take place in Jerusalem. Paul has
been asking writers and worship
leaders to select a word from the
Lord regarding Israel so that songs
may be put as tools into the hands
of worshippers worldwide in a
prophetic and timely manner.
Asked if he prefers recording
live or in a studio, Paul was quick to
answer, "I prefer live performances
because of the energy and
excitement. The live performance
captures a passion that is difficult
to create in the studio."
The intent of this trip is to
bring a remnant from the nations
to visit the beauty and heritage of
Israel while "declaring the words
of the prophets over her, watering
the soil with prayer and worship
so that the seeds of the prophets
spring to life," says Paul. Joining
him for this powerful spiritual
experience will be Don Moen,
prolific songwriter and music
industry leader; Darlene Zschech,
world-renowned singer who has
sung on numerous gold albums;
Israel Houghton, Grammy awardwinning
Christian worship leader;
Dr. Jack Hayford, president of
the International Church of the
Foursquare Gospel and best-selling
author of more than three dozen
books, and Pastor Robert Morris,
author of The Blessed Life and
host of the weekly television show
of the same name, seen in over 60
million homes. This once–in-alifetime
experience includes the
choice of an extension to Jordan
or Greece. There is also the option
to join the International Worship
Summit designed for worship
leaders.
Exact dates for this trip will
be finalized in the near future. MT

Blessing Israel is the underlying theme for all that Paul
Wilbur does. Whether laying hands on people who need
healing.

Participating in a reunion
concert with his original Messianic Jewish worship
