Iran's leader can talk and bluster all he wants, says the head of a messianic Jewish ministry, but he can't destroy the State of Israel.

Iran's supreme leader used the podium of a pro-Palestinian gathering in Tehran to lash out at Israel, calling the Jewish state a "fake" nation in a "dirty chapter" of history.

Khamenei Ayatollah Ali Khamenei (pictured at right) claimed that Israel was created by bringing Jews from other parts of the world to the Mideast region to settle in the land of the Palestinians to replace its "true entity."

Every four years, since the 1990's, Tehran has hosted a similar conference to support the Palestinian cause, inviting guests who oppose Israel.

Jan Markell of Olive Tree Ministries says the Iranian leader has got it wrong, because Arabs arrived in Israel from neighboring lands to find work.

Embassy to Jerusalem? It could happen ...

www.onenewsnow.com  Jan.5, 2017

A Messianic Jewish leader is encouraged that three senators have introduced legislation to move the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem, lending credibility to one of Donald Trump's campaign promises.

Much has been made of President-elect Donald Trump's promise during the presidential campaign that his administration would move the embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. That promise was reinforced by Trump's ambassador-designate to Israel, David Friedman, who said he "look[s] forward to [advancing the cause of peace in the region] from the U.S. embassy in Israel's eternal capital, Jerusalem."

Now three Republican members of the U.S. Senate – Dean Heller of Nevada, Marco Rubio of Florida, and Ted Cruz of Texas – have introduced the "Jerusalem Embassy and Recognition Act." The measure would restrict funding for the State Department for FY2017, stipulating that not more than 50 percent of funding would be appropriated to the department until the secretary of state reports that the embassy in Jerusalem has officially opened.

A Messianic Jewish leader maintains that some Christians in Israel are concerned about President-elect Donald Trump's plans to move the United States Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

As OneNewsNow has reported earlier, it is quite evident that the incoming Trump administration is serious about the president elect's pledge to move the embassy out of Tel Aviv to Israel’s capital. One indication that Trump will make good on his promise is the choice he made for U.S. ambassador to Israel – David Friedman.

“[I am looking forward to carrying out my duties from] the U.S. embassy in Israel's eternal capital, Jerusalem," Friedman expressed.

Olive Tree Ministries Founder and Director Jan Markell is confident that Trump is serious about his pledge to move the embassy to the holy city.

I think in Trump's heart of hearts, he truly wants to be a blessing to the only democracy in the Middle East,” Markell expressed. “Doesn't that make sense?"

However, Markell indicates that there are believers in Israel who are not on board with the idea of a U.S. Embassy in the heart of Jerusalem.

Defending the indefensible at Oberlin

www.onenewsnow.com     March 8, 2016

The head of an Ohio-based conservative organization says it's absurd that a college in the Buckeye State is not taking action against an anti-Semitic professor.

Oberlin College professor Joy Karga covers her Facebook page with claims that Israel and Jews were behind the September 2001 attacks, and Israel created the radical Islamic group ISIS and was behind the Paris attacks last year.

The Chronicle-Telegram reported that Oberlin College President Marvin Krislov said in a letter to the college community that Karega's posts on social media affected him on a personal level and also challenged his professional beliefs. But despite the fact that he is Jewish, and had family members murdered in the Holocaust, Krislov defended her right to free speech.

"This is typical of political correctness gone awry," observes Phil Burress of Citizens for Community Values.

A U.S.-born Israeli terrorism expert says Donald Trump waded into a complex issue when he recently stated a "neutral" position in the ongoing conflict between Israel and the Palestinian Authority.

Heading into Super Tuesday, both Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz hit frontrunner Trump hard over his "neutrality" statement. Yet the president candidate shouldn't frighten Israel supporters, says David Rubin.

"Trump's beliefs are a lot more complex," says Rubin. "I heard him say as well that he hopes to be seeking advice from Israel because Israel is the only one in the Middle East that he could trust, and that he could rely on when it comes to Islamic terrorism."

Yet a strong supporter of Israel tells OneNewsNow that it's surprising evangelical voters are supporting Trump over his "neutral" stance on Israel, when both Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio have a different view.

"Both of these men are so pro-Israel at heart," says Jan Markell, "that's it's just grievous to see Evangelicals pull for Donald Trump who has questionable loyalty to Israel."

The head of a messianic Jewish ministry isn't surprised that Israeli professors who espouse liberal views are now becoming victims of the boycott, divestment, and sanctions movement.

A global boycott movement against Israeli universities is gaining steam. The academic boycott is part of the broader pro-Palestinian BDS campaign, which advocates boycotts, divestment, and sanctions against Israel. Israel says the campaign goes beyond fighting its occupation of the West Bank and East Jerusalem, and often masks a more far-reaching aim to "de-legitimize" or destroy the Jewish state.

Israeli academics say they are often shunned at the personal level. They experience snubs at academic conferences, struggle to get recommendations, and can experience difficulty publishing their work in professional journals.

The head of a Messianic Jewish ministry believes it would be better if President Obama chooses to visit a Jewish synagogue this week instead an Islamic mosque.

Obama will meet Wednesday with Muslim leaders at the Islamic Society of Baltimore. While in the city, he will visit an American mosque for the first time since becoming president. The White House says he wants to "celebrate the contributions Muslim Americans make to our nation and reaffirm the importance of religious freedom to our way of life."

Jan Markell, founder and director of Olive Tree Ministries, tells OneNewsNow she is racking her brain to try to come up with anything positive that American Muslims have contributed.

"Going all the way back to our Founding Fathers, they were battling Muslim pirates on the seas of Tripoli," she points out. "I'm sure there are some patriotic Muslims, but I simply do not know what they've actually contributed in a significant way to our country."
