Messianic Conference in Bogota, Colombia

Shavuot in Bogotá, Colombia

“In that day the Lord will reach out his hand a second time to reclaim the surviving remnant of his people from…” the remotest regions (Isaiah 11:11 NIV Spanish)

In Colombia and before our eyes this prophecy is being fulfilled. There are increasingly more Believers that are returning to the Jewish roots of the faith and a hunger and thirst for the Word comes along with this not so small remnant. Therefore, in the context and spirit of the festival of Shavuot, we will sponsor our Messianic Conference named: SHUVU. The conference will be held from June 11 to June 13, 2016, with guest speakers: Rabbi Itzhak Shapira, founder of Ahavat Ammi Ministries and author of The Return of the Kosher Pig, and Rabbi Yehezquel Italki, leader of Canada´s oldest Messianic Synagogue (Kehilat Melech Yisrael) located in Toronto and author of The True Faith.

This Conference will gather together the Yovel Community, led by Pastor Raul Rubio and special guests from the Jewish Community of Bogotá: Rabbi Alfredo Goldschmit (the Great Rabbi for Colombia), Marco Sermoneta (the Embassador of Israel in Colombia), Rosita Dargoltz (director of Keren Kayemet LeIsrael Colombia) and Marcos Peckel (director of the Confederation of Jewish Communities in Colombia), among others. We have confirmed delegations from Mexico, Venezuela, Chile, Canada and the United States with the Pastor from the Yovel Community in Coral Springs, Florida, Adan Ben Joshua.

Pastor Raul Rubio explains: “More than a traditional Conference, Shuvu, will be an event in a yeshiva format, design to inspire and strengthen our understanding of the divinity of Yeshua HaMashiach, and it will exercise the function of bringing spiritual Hasbara as to what must be a proper way of practicing Messianism in Latin America.”

Rabbi Shapira concluded:  “The vision of restoration has been burning in our hearts for many years. Events like ‘Shuvu 2016’ aim to bring a tikkun that is overdue for 2000 years. With our partnership with the Yovel community and in front of the Jewish community, we have honored to pick-up the burdens of the Jewish community about this open wound of the last 2000 years and finally bring restoration to the true, authentic Jewish Besorah. The opportunity to see restoration and realignment of Messianic Believers, Christians and Jews together to a single authentic Besorah is truly prophetic.”

More information about the event can be found at In addition, during the weekend, The Return of the Kosher Pig will be released in Spanish worldwide along with a Torah dedication event.

Markell: Clinton talks tough but still a liberal   March 21, 2016

The head of a messianic Jewish ministry says American Jews are being fooled if they believe Hillary Clinton is a friend of Israel.

"They can say all the nice words they want to say," observes Jan Markell of Olive Tree Ministries, "but in their heart they want the destruction of Israel and the exaltation of Islam."

Markell was responding to Clinton's appearance on Monday in front of the annual meeting of AIPAC, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee.

Clinton told the crowd that the United States must never be "neutral" toward Israel, a knock at Donald Trump for suggesting such a stance.

Trump was scheduled to speak later on Monday along with his primary opponents Sen. Ted Cruz and Gov. John Kasich.

That Time We Led a Jewish Village to Yeshua

“Remember that time we led an entire village of Jewish people in a prayer to accept Yeshua as their Messiah?!” That is something I never imagined saying, but it is exactly what happened in Tach Gayint, Ethiopia on a trip with Jewish Voice Ministries International (JVMI). JVMI has been setting up medical clinics in places like Ethiopia and Zimbabwe for many years, and an important part of every medical clinic is the prayer tent. After people receive medical treatment, they have the option of stopping in the prayer tent for counseling and prayer. On each trip and in every clinic, people are prayed for, and many are healed. On this trip, as usual, we set up a prayer tent, and for the first day and half, we saw miracles.

One young girl, who walked six hours to come to the clinic, asked for prayer because her right arm was paralyzed. Two years earlier she had surgery to remove a goiter and during the surgery her entire right arm became paralyzed. A group of people prayed for her, and I watched life came to her arm. She began to lift her shoulder, bend her elbow and grip her fingers for the first time in two years. Excitement and tears filled her eyes as we all worshipped God for what He had done for her.

Israelis in New Zealand Sharing about Yeshua    March 8, 2016

For most Israelis, the time after the army is a time to live a free life and travel the world. Many go backpacking to India, Thailand and other Asian countries. New Zealand is another favorite destination.

As thousands of Israelis come to New Zealand every summer it is a prime location to interact with them and share about Yeshua. Only last month 150 Israelis joined together for a hike in Wanaka, New Zealand in memory of a fallen IDF soldier. Celebrate Messiah (CM) has been sharing the love of Yeshua with Jewish people in Australia since it was founded in 1995 by Lawrence and Louise Hirsch. The ministry, which started in Melbourne, is now active in New Zealand as well.

March of Remembrance Sponsors “Shoah Stories”

Many in the Messianic Movement may remember the “March of Life” founded by Jobst Bittner in 2007 in Germany. This walk made by many Christian and Messianic brothers and sisters honored the memory of those that suffered and died at the hands of Nazi soldiers during, what became known as the “March of Death.” It made a huge impact on the hearts of the people in Europe and since then the American sister, March of Remembrance, was formed. As time has gone on, survivors of the Holocaust have begun to pass away and all that will be left eventually are their stories and their memories. March of Remembrance is excited to share that they have sponsored a project that will keep the important lessons of the Shoah in our hearts more than just one day a year through a virtual reality platform.

“Shoah Stories,” a documentary that will feature the stories of Shoah survivors, will begin production April 10-12 at Baruch HaShem Messianic Synagogue in Dallas, Texas. Producer/Director Alex Pearce and his team of VR professionals will come in from San Francisco to capture this event. The documentary will be filmed in a conversational format, with four to six people at a roundtable discussing the war and sharing how they and their families recovered and healed in the years since. The goal is to show the indomitable Jewish  spirit of perseverance in the face of overwhelming opposition and to be a program that inspires hope in the hearts of all that have suffered tragedy.

Honored speakers will include Rabbi Martin Waldman, Rita Slobodkin, Giz Roberson, Dr. Jeffrey Seif, Chaim Urbach, Frank Lowinger, Miriam Weygant, Rachel Schiff, Tovah Feldman and several other guest from across the country.

This new technology being used to share these stories “will be adopted by millions of people over the next few years,” founder and executive producer Ted Pearce says, “and March of Remembrance believes there are no more compelling stories than those of Shoah survivors.” Ted goes on to say that “through this advanced technology, we will be able to place the viewer intimately in the midst of these historic figures as they tell their stories.”

This event will also serve as a way to network with regional organizers from around the country and to get the word out about the national prayer walk event on May 1, 2016. Jobst Bittner and his staff from Tubingen, Germany will also be in attendance and sharing their vision for Jerusalem 2018.

This exciting event will be open to the public, but seating will be very limited. More information will be released as the date approaches.
