Acclaimed Messianic recording artist Marty Goetz will be ministering in music at Ari Yehuda Messianic Congregation in Bristol, Virginia. He will be in concert on Erev Shabbat this weekend: Friday, June 2nd at 7PM.

Marty is a modern psalmist whose music has touched the hearts and lives of thousands all over the world. Marty was raised in a Jewish home in Cleveland, Ohio and became a Bar Mitzvah at Cleveland’s Temple on the Heights. While studying English at Carnegie Mellon University, he sang in dinner theaters and clubs around Pittsburgh as half of the duo “Bert and Marty,” Marty even appeared on the Mister Rogers television show as a guest.

Bert and Marty became a popular act in New York after college, that is until Bert became a believer, and Marty walked away from the musical duo. After several years as a songwriter and cabaret singer in New York, he moved out to Los Angeles in order to pursue a pop career. It was while in California that Marty realized the growing sphere of believers influencing his life, so he dove into the Bible to see what it was all about. This journey brought him to the realization that Yeshua is the Messiah that the Jewish people have been waiting for.

Marty gave his life to Yeshua and shifted his musical direction once again to share his heart and love for the promised Jewish Messiah with the world. He has steadily been recording since 1985 and has shared his music in Messianic synagogues, churches, conferences, conventions, rallies and Christian television all over the world.

Beth Hallel is located at 1128 New Hampshire Ave in Bristol and is led by Rabbi Joel Bell.
